LICENSED REAL ESTATE SPECIALIST | Scottsdale AZ
Growing up on a dairy farm in Oklahoma, Cathy Fassero learned at an early age about hard work, long hours and commitment.
After graduating from University of Oklahoma in 1989 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, the newly minted Sooner was hired by KPMG, one of the world’s top four audit, tax and advisory firms. As part of a team of 12, she quickly learned about teamwork, the importance of critical thinking and how frequent travel would come into play.
In 1991 she passed her CPA exam and, along with husband Jeff, who was then a pitcher for the Montreal Expos, moved to Arizona in 1998. During his 16-year career in the major leagues, they moved 32 times, an experience that unquestioningly gave Cathy a unique understanding about the stress, challenges and problem-solving associated with listing a home and purchasing a new one in a new state and city.
She got her Arizona real estate license in 2003, started her own brokerage with another realtor in 2005, and then got her broker’s license in 2009. As she honed her skills, the mother of three adult children never forgot how it felt being taken advantage of by a few realtors when she and Jeff needed to move in-between baseball seasons—agents that seemed only interested in the sale and not the interests of her family and its needs.
Consequently, she goes to great lengths to provide and takes pride in what she calls ‘concierge service’ where every aspect of a client’s transaction is important regardless of price point. She makes a point to let clients know she values them and pays close attention to what they are looking for in a home.
Clients find her accounting background invaluable, appreciating that she can crunch the numbers and help the bottom line make sense to them. She is fact based, not opinion biased, which gives clients peace of mind when it comes to making selling or buying decisions. They also love her personalized interaction and that she’s a consistent presence throughout each transaction.
In Cathy’s free time, she loves spending time with her family on the golf course traveling to fun new places and reading a great novel.
