Kate Kenney

Born and raised in Raleigh, Kate has always had a deep connection to North Carolina.
Kate was honored to receive the title of Miss North Carolina and she competed in the
1985 Miss USA Pageant - all while earning her bachelor’s degree at Clemson
University. After college, she worked in various positions within the real estate industry,
including sales, new home construction, as a managing broker, and even owning her
own firm, Kenney Real Estate. Kate’s dedication and determination earned her the
Rookie of the Year award in her first year in business and she now hangs her real estate
license in both North Carolina and Florida. She has been providing exceptional service
in the Triangle real estate community for 37 years.
 
Real estate runs in the Kenney’s bloodline, dating all the way back to the early 1900s.
Her grandfather, Henry Faucette, was one of the founding members and president of
the Board of Realtors. Kate's father, Stephen R. Kenney, also served as the President of
the Raleigh Board of Realtors and the North Carolina Association of Realtors and was
honored to be chosen as the Realtor of the Year for Wake County during his career.
Kate’s oldest son is a 4 th generation Raleigh Realtor who works in commercial real
estate with Savills.

Kate is especially excited to be in the Sports & Entertainment Division. She has a rich
history of working with professional athletes (current and retired) as well as some
entertainers. Kate's brother, Steve retired from a nine-year career in the NFL and later
became a successful developer in the Raleigh area. Kate’s two sons both played
college football and are both 4 th generation Division One football players. Kate was very
involved in sports growing up and she cheered at Clemson University (where her
brother is in the Hall of Fame). In addition, she is very proud to have had two Carolina
Hurricanes player transactions in 2023!
  
Kate is always looking for ways to make her client's real estate transactions as easy and
productive for them as possible. She has a history of going the extra mile and is highly
